Bridget Monaghan
Bridget was a 4 year starter at Morristown Beard HS. She is Morristown Beards all-time leading scorer with over 1700 points. Bridget was all conference 4 times, all county 3 times and also received all state honors. Bridget’s senior year she was player of the year in the county and MVP of the Morris County Tournament. Bridget led her team to the schools only Morris County Tournament Championship. Bridget was also team Captain her Junior and Senior years.
Bridget had a historic career at the University of Scranton where she was Captain for 3 years and her teams won 4 Conference Championships, made it to the sweet 16 in the NCAA tournament and went a combined 86-9.
Bridget received many awards and set many records during her playing days at the University of Scranton; a 3x All American, 2x Player of the year in her conference, NCAA senior All Star Team, her Jersey was displayed in the Ring of Honor at the Womans Basketball Hall of Fame 2023/2024, exceeded 1000 pts, led the Nation in 3 pt shooting 48.7%(2021-22), Program record in 3 pointers in a season 74, Program record career FT 88.7%, Program record most points in a NCAA tournament game 34.
Bridget committed to play D1 ball at Saint Joseph’s University for her Grad year and will be joining the Magic coaching staff full time in the spring 24. Bridget is another great role model for our young players.
